The ex and I used to cold camp in a tent. It was the only time the campground cleared out, and we had the luxury of letting our dogs run. We used to sit glued to the campfire, had a tent heater, and I ended up with BOTH dogs inside my sleeping bag...😂😂😂

@4meAndyou Those tent heaters are good in the winter. I didn’t realize how popular they were till I started watching you tube videos

I live in a pretty shitty rental, (tiny kitchen, old bathroom).... but it has a glass door wood heater and natural hardwood floors.
These make up for EVERYTHING....esp in winter.
I sit there, under candle light and watch the firelight dance across the room, the sound ams smell of the wood fills my senses - and and the outside world washes away .☺
Its better than valium😅

@OogieBoogie That sounds nice...

@fun4us2b it is. It truly is.
Cooking and bathing are such quickly done activities. Lounging and relaxing are very important to the end of my day.
On a stormy night - im in bliss 🥰

@OogieBoogie I'd like that.

I do the same thing...people camping in small trailers or vans too in snowy areas - looks so fun...these two have it figured out...

@fun4us2b I didn’t realize that there were so many ways to build shelters till I started watching these videos.

@cherokeepatti Which is your favorite?

@fun4us2b The dugouts are kind of cool. But so many are built to where they can flood in a hard rain. There are better ways to make them. They sure seem cozy in a cold snowy winter though

I miss winter camping with a roaring campfire :)

@NativePortlander1970 I am not crazy about getting really cold but the campfire or wood stove fire would help make up for it. Plus you can dress for the weather.
@cherokeepatti Most definitely
