I Like To Watch Winter Camping & Cabin Videos On You Tube…

Then I see snow and start shivering and have to pull the blanket up over my shoulders (or get up and get my fleece jacket to put on) while I am watching. It is comforting to watch the flames in a camp fire or in a wood stove that has a glass door though.

I do the same thing...people camping in small trailers or vans too in snowy areas - looks so fun...these two have it figured out...

@fun4us2b I like to watch bush crafting videos, everything to them building a dugout to making a shelter under a rock ledge or other interesting shelters. And then they camp in them in cold weather. It’s interesting to see them make a fireplace and chimney using what they have to work with, natural rocks and clay to hold it together. They cook in the small fireplaces and it heats up the shelter.

@cherokeepatti That's cool...I read a great book called the Dog Stars where they did that....I think it was also in 13 Moons by Charles Frazier....

@fun4us2b I didn’t realize that there were so many ways to build shelters till I started watching these videos.

@cherokeepatti Which is your favorite?

@fun4us2b The dugouts are kind of cool. But so many are built to where they can flood in a hard rain. There are better ways to make them. They sure seem cozy in a cold snowy winter though
