Know that feeling well. We ran out of firewood a few times and used LP portable heaters as a back up to keep the pipes from freezing while we go out in the woods and find dead trees to cut up.
Nothing like hiking in woods with a sleds, chainsaw and two feet or more of snow near the end of winter.
It happens from time to time.
We make sectioned off the house to warm only parts of it.
Do you have multiple blankets and something warm to drink? Layering up and keeping warm fluids in me is how I survived Alaska when I stayed there for a few months.
@Notsimilarreally I was with my cousin in Southcentral Alaska on a little personal getaway from home I needed a few years back. Hated the weather, but it was a nice little retreat.
And you want to go to Alaskan Bush? Ouch. My friend in Alaska and his wife are in the bush dealing with snow, melts and thaws and fields of ice. Not me.
