@HumanEarth Most of the snow we get here is dry and rarely takes out power or telephone service. The wind usually packs it so tight you can walk on it and not even leave a mark in the snow. As a kid I would try to dig a hole in the snow and I would give up. The snow was just too hard to dig.

That's most of our snow to unless your in the southern parts of the states
