@ninalanyon great pictures thanks. Apparently many of the plants in the garden are everyday ones people have growing in their gardens at home. Looks a good area to visit as the island is supposed to be amazing.

@meggie Island? Which island is that? The only ones I can think of in the area are Farne which is think is a bird sanctuary (never been there) and Lindisfarne which is north of Bamburgh and accessible by causeway at low tide. My wife and I spent a weekend there about ten years ago (-ish I think). It's a very pleasant place but there really isn't much there.

@ninalanyon yes, Lindisfarne or could be Farne. A friend has been there a few times and it looks very nice.
