Just wait 'till they find out how much it costs to replace those batteries

@sunsporter1649 I read of some guy with a Chevy Volt that needed a new battery very early into the life of the car. The battery was $28,000.00 plus installation.

@hippyjoe1955 Where does that battery come from? What are the harvesting ramifications of the metals to make that battery? What happens in an accident to the earth? What did they do with the old battery that isn't able to be recycled? Is this really safe/clean energy?
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Iwillwait Yeah the weak sister of the EV has always been the battery.

@sunsporter1649 £10k here in the uk. Will go pop within 5-10 years. Energy is being used as a control mechanism. Fake scarcity, fake economics, exaggerated war......the reasons the energy prices have gone up. The push for electric doesnt even make sense in their own fake reality

@Iwillwait Lithium batteries are only about 50% recyclable (lead batteries are about 90-95%); I predict disposal will create another dilemma like when plastic became mainstream. Sure, people think it's great now, but in 15-20 years when they're piling up in landfills and leeching toxins into the ground, they'll be up in arms about it...

To make matters worse, whereas conventional batteries are cheaper and easier to recycle than produce new, lithium batteries are just the opposite, so most likely the majority will be discarded anyways

@wildbill83 Agree.its a stupid idea to be all Electric.
