The adventure begins….

I’m officially a student - I started university today for my fine art degree. I never thought I’d get here. School was a write off for me…my emotionally unstable teen years meant I spent most of school being expelled or skipping class. I had no confidence in my abilities and no motivation to achieve.

Art has always been my passion, the one thing I could do, that I enjoyed doing and could excel at. The thought of having a career in art is a dream come true, but I still never imagined that I would get to university.

I feel so proud, still in disbelief that I actually got in…me…at university. No matter what happens I’m still proud of myself that I got this far, and for the first time in my life I think my parents would be proud

I think you will crush it too. I went back to college when I was 30 because I underachieved in high school and was kinda lost in my early 20s. I really did well because I wanted to learn at that point.
