I know it may seem weird

But I’m a George Michael fan. I think he is the best pop singer song writer of the 80s. You got to listen to the right stuff.

Freedom 90 is great. Even freedom is good. Careless whisper is a course great. Praying for time is great. Father figure it was good. One more try was great. Everything she wants was also a very good song. He has better stuff than prince and Michael Jackson if you listen to the songs.

We saw the Wham documentary on Netflix the other night. it was a good watch, sweetie....

Not my usual music - I'm a country gal myself - but it was very entertaining.

@CassandraSissy yeah I watched that too knew some of the story but it was very interesting to see how great he really was. I always thought he was the best of the 80s. As a Quality pop singer songwriter

@Jonjdw Fascinated to find that George and Andrew both came up withy the basis of 'Careless Whisper' so early on...and that they were holding onto it for, what? 5, 6 years? Very mature song...

Andrew seemed like such a generous, easy going friend.....

😘

@CassandraSissy yes. Elton John has apparently said George Michael was probably the best songwriter of his time. Elton John also said that him and Bernie Taupin did not have that level of song writing at that age.

@Jonjdw Yes, I saw that, sweetie....

@CassandraSissy Andrew was an equal partner and integral to Wham's success.
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
@Jacko1971 No,he wasn't.He didn't sing,even co-write any of the songs or even play his own instrument.The going joke behind the scenes was the the roadies had more to do with that bands success that he did.

@DavidT8899 Andrew got credit for writing whether she did or he didn’t who knows but without Andrew there would be no George Michael. Andrew got George out of his shell.
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
@Jonjdw Let me quote Rolling Stone magazine:"In terms of artistic credibility,Andrew Ridgeley falls somewhere between Latoya Jackson and oblivion."
Jonjdw · 46-50, M
@DavidT8899 and so what. Only with song writing anyway. And it’s post is not about Andrew. It’s about George
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
@Jonjdw True.And I think he was overated.
Jonjdw · 46-50, M
@DavidT8899 Andrew yes possibly but without and there would be no George Michael.
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
@Jonjdw Maybe,but when I said I overated I was referring to George.
Jonjdw · 46-50, M
@DavidT8899 yeah I thought so that’s your opinion. The whole post was just my opinion oh and Elton John’s.
