How does she line up with other pop stars? Madonna? Britney Spears? Beyonce?

How does she compare to other "serious" female song writers? Tori Amos? Fiona Apple? Kate Bush? Sarah McLaughlin?

@chrisCA Actually I think you hit it there. Swift is not a super talent or positive personality who stands out, (like for instance "Pink"). She is more the everygirl, like Madonna was when she was young. Anyone could sing and dance as well as her and aspire to BE her. If you think backm George W Bush made a virtue of not "getting" science, so he appealed to others like him... And just about any "girl next door" blonde can apsire to being Taylor Swift..😷

@Burnley123 Israel Kamakawiwo'ole was the only person to lie in state in the Hawaiian capitol who wasn't a politician. He also supported Hawaiian independence and was a monarchist, who referred to Queen Liliuokalani as "the last queen of Hawaii - so far." If he'd declared himself king, we could have had a revolution on our hands.
