About those lyrics to "Frosty the Snowman"

It occurs to me that nowadays, many children have never seen a traffic cop.

They have never handled lumps of coal.

They are unfamiliar with corn cob pipes.

If they grew up in a household where nobody sews as a craft (as in making clothing) then buttons get sewn back onto the garments they fall off of. There might not be a supply of buttons to use for a snowman's nose.

In this age of synthetic fabrics, good luck finding a discarded silk hat.

And if children were to wander "down the streets of town" without adult supervision, their parents would get a visit from Child Protection Services!

So I guess you’re saying that scenario couldn’t happen these days without Amazon Prime? I’ll bet they still sell silk hats and buttons.

Time to create a new updated version of Frosty then.

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Santa Claus getting stuck in the chimney when the power goes out and the homeowners need to light a fire in the fireplace. That’ll liven things up.
Frosty's days were always numbered 😔

The story would need an update, unfortunately, that might not work in the kid's favor.

What makes you think parents would be concerned if they are under the supervision of what they say is a magical snowman?
Yeah, that song really is a relic from a time that was better in many ways.

I wish we could take the enlightened attitudes many people have today, and combine them with the freedoms kids had even when I was little.
