About those lyrics to "Frosty the Snowman"

It occurs to me that nowadays, many children have never seen a traffic cop.

They have never handled lumps of coal.

They are unfamiliar with corn cob pipes.

If they grew up in a household where nobody sews as a craft (as in making clothing) then buttons get sewn back onto the garments they fall off of. There might not be a supply of buttons to use for a snowman's nose.

In this age of synthetic fabrics, good luck finding a discarded silk hat.

And if children were to wander "down the streets of town" without adult supervision, their parents would get a visit from Child Protection Services!
