I'm becoming an insomniac again.
Try bineural beats and valerian root.
Better Than nothing.

@SW-User Melatonin sometimes works and sometimes gives me nightmares from hell, so it's like Russian roulette. It's fun.
SW-User
@GeistInTheMachine I get that for sure

Music, good choice for battling insomnia. It takes you to a happy place..
Sometimes even just the white noise of a fanor a radio is beneficial.
I used to play a favorite podcast.
Try to reserve your bedroom strictly for rest -- use a seperate space for your office/studying.
No media an hour b4 bed, drink something hot and soothing.

There are plenty of things you can do to help
Melatonin
Wedge under feet part of mattress
Cooler room
Dark room or sleeping mask
White noise (or nature sounds)
Certain live plants
Sleep naked
New mattress
New sheets
Meditate before going into bed and then NO ELECTRONICS

are women just more predisposed to insomnia or something because I can't help but notice who my company is every night?

I tend to have insomnia off and on too, like right now.
