@BlueMetalChick Is that the drawing you posted on here before? If so, it's really good.

I might disagree on that particular song but with “Hurt” I like Johnny Cash more than the NiN original.
Also I like this version of a KISS original by the Replacements.

@Pfuzylogic Loved this. Reminds me of Joe Cocker.

Replacements were very much an 80s band known for their covers but they put out two huge albums, “Tim” and “Let it be”.

Cyndi Lauper's version of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, much better than the original by....I forget his name.
Also, metal blasphemy, I know, but I prefer this version of Dead Skin Mask to Slayer's. It's just creepier sounding and if you're doing a song about Ed Gein, it should be creepy

Oh, I don't know who originally sang "Whiskey in the Jar" but I think the Grateful Dead did the best version of it.
Pfuzylogic · M
@BlueMetalChick
It was originally an Irish Ballad before Thin Lizzy did the original rock version.

@BlueMetalChick the lyrics also go a bit different depending on region, but the story is the same. My favourite version is the Thin Lizzy version.

I think the best voices to try have been David Gahan and Iggy Pop but even those rich voices don’t match his voice. Having said that NiN did a beautiful work there!

@AntisocialTroll 1- Great cover and a great tribute but I don't think anyone compares to dolores o'riordan. It also had a very specific relevance to the time and place.
