@Fernie I saw them perform it on TV, back in the day, on either The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, or on The Ed Sullivan Show. It was one of the first albums I bought as a teenager.
Fernie · F
@Byron8by7 Same here...one of my first albums...I listened to it until I needed a new stylus..I think it was Sullivan

This might be the only time where Floyd just let it rip like this. I wish there were a few more like this in their catalog, because Gilmour shreds on this track. He didn’t have many songs where he could let it fly the way he does here.

this is a hard one since we dont know what songs others know but i'll try this one by INXS, since it doesnt even make their best of album and its probably my favorite.

That’s such a good song from their earlier days. It got some airplay but nothing on the scale of the hits off of Kick. @EmilyMom
EmilyMom · 51-55, F
@SW-User i agree, not sure how i ever came across it but too me it is by far their best song. i believe it was a hit in australia.

@SW-User Wow. Lucky you. In all their 55 years performing I have never seen them live.
Personally, I disliked the Beatles. Never got into them at all. I tolerated some of their songs, but the greatest band? Not in my opinion
SW-User
This is my first time seeing them. I gave my son the other ticket Christmas morning, and I thought he was going to launch himself right through one of the skylights. 😆@Gusman

@SW-User I'm a Beatles guy. Just can't think.of any song they did that isn't well known.

@SW-User Isn't almost every Zappa and Mothers of Invention song not well known. You rarely if ever heard them on the radio.
SW-User
@eli1601 Good point! For radio bound folk i guess Zappa is a rare treat!!

@SW-User I love Cyndi...she was amazing the other night on a tribute to Cher. It's probably better for them to back away from time to time

@BlueClapTrap Axl was an egomaniac but whatever else he was, he was mostly anti-drugs. He got the rest of Guns N Roses to sign off the name rights of the band to him cos they were all too high to care.

I’m not religious at all, but this is my favorite Prince song. When I saw the movie “Sign O the Times” the first time, this song left my jaw on the floor.

Deep Purple only seem to be known for a couple of songs, but they’ve got an extremely deep catalog of great material. I just saw Glenn Hughes a couple months ago, and he played this one.

@dragonfly46 I love this song! It's probably my favorite by Led Zeppelin.
@TeresaRudolph71 Mine too, back in the 80's my ex would sing this song to me. 🙂

Here’s a lesser known George song. I can’t remember ever hearing this one on the radio.

It’s impossible to find a truly obscure Beatles song. The best you can do is find one that’s lesser known. @eli1601
eli1601 · 70-79, M
@SW-User Maybe Revolution 9 can be considered obscure.
SW-User
I thought about that one, but it’s so infamous that it’s probably better known than some of George’s songs. @eli1601

Like Deep Purple, Fleetwood Mac have actually been several different bands over the years. The all too brief Peter Green era is my favorite.

As a drummer, I just love this track. Charlie Watts creates a perfect pocket, and the band just stays in it. He’s like a human metronome on this song.

It’s hard to say any Zeppelin song isn’t well known, because their entire catalog gets at least some airplay. However, this song gets much less notice than others.
