Is anyone else going to miss Doctor Who now this series has finished?

I actually had a lump in my throat at the end of the series finale, when Ruby told the Doctor she loved him. Awww!
Ncuti Gatwa is the best Doctor for many years. Can't wait for the Christmas special, and the next series when it comes in 2025

It was a pretty good season, albeit short. I found the finale rather disappointing; if felt more like something Stephen Moffat would do rather than Russell Davies. Ncuti Gatwa actually reminds me a lot of the early David Tennant episodes, all manic energy.

I have to say I don't care much for the design of the interior of the TARDIS. Other than running around randomly, what can anyone do on all those curving ramps? And there's nowhere to sit. There's never anywhere comfortable to sit on the bridge.

They really kept bringing up Susan, and although that was partially explained, it makes me wish they would finally deal with that dangling thread after, what, 60 years?

I'm also interested in seeing them follow up on the whole Timeless Child thing. That could be fun.

And mostly, I really wish they'd concentrate more on creating original villains rather than just digging up more and more obscure baddies from the original series run. Or worse, bring back the Daleks or Cybermen again. It would be refreshing to see the show go off on its own direction for a while, doing new things.

@DunningKruger I agree the season was short. I'd have liked a few more episodes. The design of the new TARDIS is a bit weird, and I've often wondered where they sleep!
But I actually enjoyed the last two episodes, they're probably my favourites from this season. I wish they would keep Ruby as the Doctor's companion though. I like her. I like the chemistry betwen Ruby and the Doctor. Overall I enjoyed this season, and I'm looking forward to the next season in 2025.

@DunningKruger I thought the Timeless Child situation was resolved when he bigenerated. That whole storyline was forced into his lifetime by the Celestial Toymaker, so now the other doctor has one timeline separate from the main timeline. Maybe I got confused, though.

@LordShadowfire 15 mentions being a foundling early in the season, just like Ruby.

@DunningKruger Oh, that's right. I don't know. Maybe 15 is the Timeless Child, and 14 is the other timeline now.

@LordShadowfire I don't know what other timeline you're referring to.

@DunningKruger Originally, the Timeless Child and the Doctor were two separate beings. I forget which Doctor talked about the Timeless Child, but it was always discussed in the third person. Then the Celestial Toymaker came along, and he boasted that he had messed with the Doctor's timeline, as a result of a deal he made with the Master before trapping the Master in his own gold tooth. This would explain why 13 was unearthing memories of having been the Timeless Child, even though previous memories from 10 confirmed that he had a relatively normalish childhood, and was even childhood friends with the Master.
