Wtf did just watch?

I just watched 3 body problem on Netflix, it was mind blowing, I am forever terrified of an alien invasion, how can we keep calling on a more advanced species that could conquer us???? The show is apparently based on a Chinese novel, but seriously where is the second season? Why does Netflix only makes few episodes of good shows and many season of shitty shows that no one cares about?

i have really mixed feelings on that series, the base premise is amazing and some of the scenes and characters are fantastic.
but then again other characters are insufferable.. and i dont mean the acting but how the character is written. and some of the side plots are really awkward and make no sense at all. and dont get me started on how all the main characters randomly know each other from the start.

its like someone had a great idea for a story and then had a really terrible friend help him add more stuff

@Bad4U it's based on a Chinese novel am not sure if that was the original plot, but yeah it's weird all the scientists live in London and know each other

@Collegegirl23 Being in London was a change made by the screen writers. Most of the first book takes place in China.

Seriously! Was that the real ending?! It was really a non-ending! I looked it up and I think that may be the whole thing!

I loved the show but was really disappointed with the ending.

Maybe I'll have to see it for myself for context, but any alien race with the technology to come all the way out here has the technology to free themselves from any cares that would be eased by conquering us
