I love watching old shows sometimes. They remind me of simpler times…

When cell phones were the size of bricks and were carried clipped to your belt.

When cars would get confused and call their door a jar if it was slightly open.

When common sense hadn’t yet been invented, so, knowing there was a killer on the loose, people would walk into dark rooms without turning on a light to investigate a noise.

I recently watch the entire series of Hill Street Blues. It was interesting seeing cops needing to use pay phones to report in.

@Yourguyinthecity I like watching old detective shows. I the UK in the late 70s we had the Sweeney. there was no technology in that
Just old fashioned police work. I was also going to mention the professionals but they at least had radios for communication. Cowley had an old fashioned car phone. The battery was as big as a car battery.

I recently acquired one of those confused older cars. The other day,, I'd been loading stuff to haul to the transfer station and when I got back in the driver's seat, I noticed the car was telling me that one of the car doors had turned into a jar. I thought that was pretty strange...
