How freaked out do you become about your favorite book series or TV show coming to an end? [I Love TV Shows]

After all how the hell are you going to survive without the ups and downs of the story and the company of your favorite characters?

Rarely. Typically by the time something ends anymore, I'm perfectly ready for it to be over.

There are rare exceptions. I'm sort of disappointed American Gods isn't getting a fourth season, but I can understand why.

The last book series I really followed was Wheel of Time, and I was ready for it to be over five or six books before it ended.

I honestly can't think of the last thing I really missed when it ended.
I don't read... Because reading you Just sit there and stare at paper and ink... Not about that life. I Am the story and I AM the movie
@Incognitochick noo !! books are dimm!! there's literally no light or color just dull ass paper...now a movie that has all the light and color i need because im bright minded!! I'm sad that there will be no more Discworld novels. But I'm not freaked out because I understand that even if pTerry had lived forever the quality of the books could not continue to improve forever. I am glad that I lived at a time when such books were being written, that I experienced the thrill of getting the next one after waiting for what seemed ages and finding that it was even better than the last. No one can keep that up for ever, most of us not at all, we can't expect, certainly not require, the author to do it at six monthly intervals indefinitely.

I grieve a little each time I say good bye. It’s a tiny moment of honor and gratitude.
@Littlewing77 I’m bad to get book hangovers. Whether it’s a series or not.

@Pinkstarburst I relate!

I become frantic. Life comes to a halt..
I’m only invested in one book series and as long as it provides closure one day, I’ll be fine (I can always reread them). I don’t watch television so that’s not a biggie.
