Question about The Godfather Part II.

First of all, let me say that I love Pluto TV. They've been showing The Godfather films almost everyday this month. How awesome is that?

Anyway, would you say that Michael Corleone is a protagonist or antagonist in the second part? He did have his brother killed at the end, and he also hit Kay in the face.

Definitely an anti-hero. Michael begins in The Godfather as having the best intentions and wanting to "play by the rules". But his observations of the treatment of his father, himself and the death of Santino lead him to understand that [b]survival[/b] means adopting "conditional" standards of morality. And there’s no room for anyone he can’t trust or buy.
