Star Trek works better on TV. While the movies have been mostly enjoyable, I much prefer it on TV.

@smileylovesgaming Star Trek is a series about ideas. The movies are all about action and 'splosions and the like, with rarely any room for ideas. Trying to make Captain Pickard an action hero just didn't work well. The Kelvin universe movies just had mostly the 'splosions and none of the ideas. Discovery is such a welcome change — just brilliantly done.
