War of the worlds scared me when it came out in the sixties, then Failsafe and Dr. Strangelove made us love the bomb. 2001 A Space Odyssey was really advanced when it came out in '68 and had the theaters full all summer. Slaughterhouse 5 was just weird. A Clockwork Orange was cool. Then Star Wars blew everything out of the water when it came out. Then in '79 Joy and I went to a little known movie called Alien and got freaked out. Then that summer of 81 at the drive in movie was Heavy Metal.

A couple years later was the much anticipated first Star Trek movie and the Scifi romance movie Starman. E.T. was very popular and fun as was Flight of the Navigator. Jodi Foster in Contact made us think as did Blade Runner. Interstellar had stirring music and a tesseract. For me, the movie so far with the best lines, music, story, and acting....Blade Runner.

The blob, old and new were also pretty good.
