If I could I would run away for Christmas.

And not return until it is all over . People are more worried about their own selfish agenda than someone actually needing help . I hate feeling trapped and I would prefer to be left alone . Abuse is not love.
If I could ...I would move away and not come back at all.

Mandatory attendance at my Sicilian Mother-in-law's--Giodmother to most of the Sicilian community--used to be like that. Inevitable fight at some point. Nowadays it is just immediate family at my youngest son's. Lots of laughter, games, good food. great times. No power agendas.
