What Kind Of Kitchen Flooring Do You Have?

Glazed ceramic tiles in my kitchen….

The old wide red oak floors that they don't make anymore. My whole house has the same flooring. Some dummy put carpet and Linoleum over most of it.

Over the years. We have been going though room by room restoring the old floors underneath

I know people want a change, but I still hate covering good wood

@HumanEarth My problem with living in rent house with wood floors was that the previous tenants would leave chair leg marks all over the floors. Apparently they had chairs with hollow metal legs and nothing on the bottom of those legs to protect the floors. Otherwise I would have been happy with the floors.

Neglect and not caring is even worse

My mother had those through her open floor plan house! She had to mop and quickly DRY the tiles or they always looked streaky.

@cherokeepatti Vinegar and water would have worked okay, but she didn't like the smell.

@4meAndyou I’ve used that and it doesn’t streak at all.

@4meAndyou Spic and Span was the worst floor cleaner that I ever used. Streaked something terrible. Made twice the work as other cleaners. I liked the smell though.
Laminate flooring

Porcelain tile that looks like wood .

@TexChik My neighbors removed their carpeting and put it all over their house, I really like it.

Floating Vinyl Planks = gets damaged,,,,,,,,, just pull it up & replace with space

cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@ShenaniganFoodie I like those with a wood grain. They have them in one of the buildings that I have medical visits at, and at least on the floor that I go to. They look like they would be easy to clean and not loud to walk on either. I think I’d like them in the house if we ever did a remodel.
ShenaniganFoodie · 36-40, M
@cherokeepatti 250mm wide by 2.4 metres long each plank

Ceramic tile. It's actually throughout the house except for the bedrooms. They have carpeting.
