Make it can keep the ice frozen. The one I got, requires emptying out in a freezer, otherwise it will melt, and it' takes forever, and doesn't hold much.
If you just want a few ice cubes, for anything you want iced up, while in the bedroom, it works fine.
@Northwest I eat ice overnight when I go to bed. My fridge has an ice crusher but tis so.... not right. I did not consider that it wont keep the ice cold.... thats a flaw.
We had one and it got moldy inside, I couldn't reach the inside part to clean it, and ours didn't come apart for cleaning. So I hated it. We had to throw it out.
This is not the picture I was expecting😂. I got the Frigidaire nugget ice maker (33lb and looks very similar) a few months ago, and I’m really enjoying it. I’ve had two opal nugget makers before, and I’ll never get one of those again.
@itsok Ive heard that the opal ice makers break easily and the customer service behind the company is horrible. Im always tempted though... what if they are all wrong?
@nonsensiclesnail both of mine broke and it can’t be fixed! Nobody would work on it, and they were $600 😵 I’m very glad there are more options for brands now, and the ice is just as good. The one I have now can’t be controlled by my phone, and the ice bin is smaller, but it makes ice so quickly. I just leave it on all the time except for when I’m cleaning it.
@nonsensiclesnail i really never gave it much thought, in the home; as a former restaurant manager, etc etc, but this one has served us very well, buyer beware maybe?
@popmol No, I just really like my ice and I'm not a huge fan of the ice maker I have..... and I am being lazy and don't want to go downstairs every time I want ice.
@DDonde my dentist thinks I grind my teeth in my sleep. I really need to stop eating ice. but its like an addiction. And I know thats why. I enjoy my ice so much though.
