I’m gonna need you to livestream it for me a day early
@itsok I'll see what I can do, but no promises 😅

They're a good read. I enjoyed the movies too, maybe because I'm a fan of Donald Sutherland and Elizabeth Banks.

Did you ever read The Maze Runner?
@Mindful no, is that good as well?
Mindful · 56-60, F
@NerdyPotato I liked it a lot but it reminded me of The Hunger Games movie. I found out the Maze Runner is part of a trilogy. I haven't read the complete Maze Runner Series my library did not have it at the time. I've asked for a library transfer. I've never thought to read The Hunger Games series until this post. I'll have to have a look and see if it's at my local library.
@Mindful it's definitely worth it, and I'll check out Maze Runner as well.

I liked the movies when they came out. Never read the books. Can you say if they differ much?

@caPnAhab When I went to high school, they got me in the habit of reading the book, then watching the movie afterwards. I feel like that still serves me well because I have a better idea of how the character was thinking and feeling - therefore why they did what they did next.

@HootyTheNightOwl That's a habit I wish I had. If there ever was a movie adaptation of a book I probably opt for the movie. But there are too many books without movies I need to finish
@caPnAhab The sooner you start finishing them, the sooner you'll finish finishing them... 🤣🤣🤣

I've read them. Didn't realise there was a new film. May have to revisit them
@UKNaturist yes, Sunrise on the Reaping is coming out in November.

I tried listening to the first one on audiobook and lasted 5 minutes. I don’t understand why it’s so famous.
@Captainjackass only 5 minutes? The premise barely gets introduced there...

Why read when you can watch the movies? 🤔
SilverF0x · 51-55, M
@NerdyPotato Movies spoil the books. But they make the writers rich so they can write another book under a pseudonym…. Wink wink
@SilverF0x many do, but not The Hunger Games. There's so many details in the books that the movies don't cover, and those make the real story.
SilverF0x · 51-55, M
@NerdyPotato I read the first one. I didn’t get to the others. Then I heard they were making the movie and that’s all the motivation I needed 😂
