Tin Can....

I couldn't even finish it
CaptainBarbossasHusband · 36-40, MNew
@caPnAhab Happy to share. Do you have a link to the movie for free btw? I don't think it's on my go-to site

Keep in mind, I live in Norway, so streaming services have different options than what yours might have.

@CaptainBarbossasHusband
Sorry, only place I know to watch it online is YouTube, but it's buy or rent to watch

I bought mine on blu ray from a movie store
CaptainBarbossasHusband · 36-40, MNew
@caPnAhab I'll write it down for later, when I can afford to pay to watch.

Doctor who can be horrific. Like the God complex episode. The weeping angel episodes. The vashtanarada, cybermen, etc. super scary stuff. My cousin is horrified by the episode where the doctor goes to the vacation crystal planet. Where an invisible creature that seemingly takes over your personality to switch to the most intelligent person to take over. I personally just found it interesting and good acting. I find the other monsters I mentioned to be much more horrifying. There are others. Including horrifying concepts and such. Like an organization forcefully downloading human minds to trap them in a cyber hell, while the company grafts the benefits of the living ai.

@pride49 yeah that show is really disturbing sometimes but whenever I suggest it to someone they're like "nawww it's for kids" 🫩

Happiness (1998)

Just sorta rambling here, but I’ve found most so-called disturbing horror films are more stupid than anything else. Yes, the content featured is disturbing within itself, but they often try way too hard to where it just comes off ridiculous and difficult to take seriously. At times, comically so.

But Happiness is a dark comedy that stars an ensemble cast and focuses on the lives of three adult siblings, their families and others around them. You could say it’s like an anthology film. Despite not being horror, it gets pretty messed up and accomplishes what most “disturbing” horror flicks always fail at and gets really unsettling.

I won’t spoil anything, because I think it’s really good in spite of its dark subject matter. So much, I highly recommend it. You might find yourself agreeing that it’s more disturbing than most horror films.

@Ducky *takes notes*

I will watch it if I find it somewhere. Thank you, cutie pie. You're the most schpadoinkle of them all.

Pulse/Kairo (Japanese)

Bring Her Back

The Ugly Stepsister (Norwegian, not scary just hard to watch in moments)

Dark Water (Japanese)

I've got more if you want
caccoon · 36-40
@Ducky right? It's so good. The creepy stains and slow approach

Are you talking about the floating part or the time when it crawls over the sofa?
Ducky · 31-35, F
@caccoon The part where the guy enters the sealed off room and is cornered by the ghost. Just the uncanny way she moves while walking towards him, it’s so eerie!
caccoon · 36-40
@Ducky it's the best.
wackidywack · 26-30
this may be so basic but i cannot rewatch last night in soho for the life of me

promising young woman is a runner up
CaptainBarbossasHusband · 36-40, MNew
@vic7ory saw it in theater withy sis who hates scary movies. The whole theater laughed all the way through cause we all found it to be ridicolus. 🙈

I won't trashtalk anyone who likes it, but I also won't understand why they do.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@CaptainBarbossasHusband It was super boring, tbh.

Midsommar, Hereditary, Wrong Turn

CaptainBarbossasHusband · 36-40, MNew
@Nanori I've watched them all more than once 🙈

The Girl next door (2007)
CaptainBarbossasHusband · 36-40, MNew
@CrazyMusicLover Girl Next Door is good, but not quite what I'm looking for
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@CaptainBarbossasHusband Then don't even try the other one.

When A Stranger Calls (the old one)
@CaptainBarbossasHusband that one would give someone nightmares… 😱
CaptainBarbossasHusband · 36-40, MNew
@Unefilletrescurieuse ironically, the only movies that gives me nightmares are the classic Disney movies. Especially the Tinkerbell ones 🙈
@CaptainBarbossasHusband just make sure you don’t confuse the newer one from the old one… 🤔
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
Human centipede.
CaptainBarbossasHusband · 36-40, MNew
@GeistInTheMachine Idk how to answer to this without sounding like an edgelord 🙈

Loved the concept, hated the movie.
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
@CaptainBarbossasHusband Lmfao. It would be an interesting concept to use as a televised execution method.
urbancowboy · 56-60, M
Cannibal Holocaust was pretty disturbing for me
urbancowboy · 56-60, M
@CaptainBarbossasHusband It was a mind scramble
CaptainBarbossasHusband · 36-40, MNew
@urbancowboy I don't like how they actually killed animals in the movie, but aside from that, I'm too hardened for it to affect me
urbancowboy · 56-60, M
@CaptainBarbossasHusband Yeah the killing of animals is not my forte. But the rest of it shook me to my core

@CaptainBarbossasHusband
Once was enough for parts of it to be permanently seared into my brain
CaptainBarbossasHusband · 36-40, MNew
@SomeIrishPerson aside from the part where Maggot was in the tub having fun with a dead child at the end of the movie, I found it forgettable 🙈

I know I sound like an edgelord right now, but I meant it when I said I've seen too much by now
SomeIrishPerson · 31-35, M
@CaptainBarbossasHusband
It has a special place in my memory as it was the first pretty fucked up movie I ever watched 😂

Oh I believe you. There are some deeply disturbing and twisted movies out there, and you do get more desensitised to horrific stuff the more you see it.
HowtoDestroyAngels · 46-50, M
Barbarian is the most disturbing.
CaptainBarbossasHusband · 36-40, MNew
@HowtoDestroyAngels what's it about and when's it from?
