I enjoy the psychological and especially horror/mystery, with little-to-no supernatural elements.( trap, blink twice, saltburn, midsommar etc)

Although it had SN elements, one of my all time faves (because of the horror metaphors) is the Ring - for instance when Rachel goes into the well and retrieves Samaras real corpse, the way the movies depicts how Rachel sees a sleeping little girl in her arms(sentiment) but the audience sees a skeleton(reality) , is a methaphor for me for how i look into my old dead relationships.

Hannah from that series 13 reasons would have done herself a favour to learn from the ring, about how to get over old bullies and rapists, you dont need 13 audio cassette tapes and months to hope people get you. Nah. Just 1 tape, 7 days and they understand you all the way to their last breath.

I enjoy watching someone else's life fall apart in psychologic horrors it makes me feel better about my real life horror story that it could be a movie too.

@Rudboy41 is saltburn a horror? I haven't seen it yet ive been avoiding it. Bodies, Bodies,Bodies sounds like something in your category. I avoided it for a while i thought it would be cheesy but it was good!

@AngelUnforgiven Salt burn is listed by wiki as a black comedy, it is a dark thriller that is dark enough to be called a horror, in my opinion, the term thriller can be done away with. The uneasy suspense, and heavy gothic influence and the "horny haunted house" push it over the line into horror territory for me

@AngelUnforgiven cool, i haven't seen it but from the trailer the movie bodies, bodies, bodies reminds me alot of the movie called 'talk to me'
