From Hell is pretty good. It’s a recreation of the Jack The Ripper story. Very atmospheric and well shot. Pretty disturbing in places though.

@Oneofthestormboys Its one of those graphic novels that I have in my collection... but haven't read yet.
But yeah... Alan Moore, most of what I read from him is really good. I'm just thinking about: Watchmen, V for Vendetta, Saga of the Swamp Thing and Batman: The Killing Joke. He also wrote: "League of Extraordinairy Gentlemen", which I'm still trying to get my hands on. Because the hardcover is no longer in print at the moment. And he wrote: "What ever happened to the man of tomorrow", which also has been used in the real-lifea action movies and animation movies. Some of his stuff is adapted in movies, not always in a good way... yes, I'm looking at you "League of Extraordinairy Gentlemen". He also doesn't like the movie adaptations of his works... but he's a bit of a purist.

@Kwek00 I’ve heard of his stuff like you mentioned. Sounds pretty good. I might look into those.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Oneofthestormboys Watchmen is still considered by many, as the best American graphic novel ever written. Of course, it's subjective, but a lot of people rank it really highly. I think the movie adaptation is good too... V for vendetta, is better in the commic imo. But the movie is still okay. And League of Extraordinairy Gentlemen... well, that's not really worth your time unless you just want to stare at a really mediocre movie. In that last one, they apperently (from what I hear from critics) changed the story a lot. While in the other 2 it only got slightly changed. Because Alan Moore is a bit weird when it comes to his comics. I was pretty amazed that he let Swampthing get raped in space by a living sentient spaceship... I mean, wtf?!?

Dark Night of the Scarecrow: Surprisingly well done slasher for being an 80s made for tv movie.
Behind The Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon: half mockumentary, half straight up slasher. Loaded with cameos and easter eggs.
Phantasm: Bizarre and creepy.
Terrifier: Not a great film, but worth it for Art The Clown
Terrifier 2: More Arty goodness, but with better plot and acting from others this time.
The Poughkeepsie Tapes: mockumentary/found footage type.
V/H/S: Anthology bizarre stories. hit and miss. Same with the sequel
The Prophecy: my favorite portrayal of the angel Gabriel. Also my favorite Lucifer.
Sleepaway Camp: For one of the creepiest images at the end
Clown: Body horror.
Orphan and Orphan First Kill: Esther is amazing
The Final: Emily understands creepy...when the mask is on for sure
In The Mouth of Madness: Do you read Sutter Cane?
The Watcher in The Woods: atmospherically creepy....barely horror, but I liked it (80s version, haven't seen the remake)
The Pit: mostly kinda cheesy, and I was wanting a different ending, but that kid is creepy as hell
To name a few

@Somerset I second this.

Psychomania. Basically the story is about this motorcycle gang, and the leader of this gang finds out that if you think about coming back to life, right when you're about to die that you'll come back to life and you'll be immortal, so I think two of the gang members end up dying but the rest of them come back to life and you can't kill them, it was a really good movie it's just really slow.
