The Wicker Man

I made the mistake of watching the 2006 remake of The Wicker Man with Nicolas Cage.
The studio executive responsible for allowing that steaming pile of garbage to be filmed should be ashamed.
Remaking an absolute cinema classic was unnecessary in the first place, but to do it so damn badly is inexcusable! 😤

Last year, I saw two movies, all new to me. A mid 50's French film "Wages Of Sin" and a 70's American remake "Sorcerer". Both were intensely great and highly recommended.
@BlueSkyKing I’ve yet to see Wages, but enjoyed The Sorcerer
@Ghostinthemachine There are examples of remakes that are arguably equal or better than originals.
@BlueSkyKing For sure. An Affair to Remember is one for me
Dune…Oceans 11
@Ghostinthemachine "The Maltese Falcon", "Fist Full Of Dollars", "The Magnificent Seven" are all remakes. Not to mention the various movies made on Shakespeare's plays
