There's an old French-Canadian film I had the opportunity to see when I was young, called Le Guerre des Tuques. (Literal Translation: War of the Tuques; English Dub Title: The Dog Who Stopped The War)
It's a film about a group of neighborhood children who decide split into two groups to have a mock battle during the winter break.
It's a pretty wholesome family film with a strong anti-war message.

I'm not a huge fan either but I did enjoy enemy at the gates and saving private Ryan. And binge watched band of brothers it was the 1st show where I sat through every single episode in one sitting.

@AngelUnforgiven I saw Saving Private Ryan once when it came out but not the other two
War movies wouldn’t be a favourite of mine. I do find them interesting. As a species we find war interesting.
I think that the carnage and death brings out the extreme worst and best in people, and that is fascinating.
