The Hopi word for Life Out of Balance, this knocks Malibran off of top place!!

This is for me a legendary film, was crucial for me in shifting from mainstream blockbusters to arthouse cinema in 2004. I've told this tale before, the last month of employment for me was January 2004, soon after I saw this film, and it perfectly showed to me aesthetically how it was for me, like an afterlife, and floating in another dimension above the world and watching regular life being lived in a mournful but detached manner. In a bonus feature, the director Godfrey Reggio said that Los Olvidados was an important film, for such a long time I wanted that, and couldn't understand why it wasn't released in a souped up edition. I subsequently got it in a bare bones edition with curse words in the English subtitles. But anyway this film here is super important, the music and the visuals, and the editing, contender for best time capsule movie, seeing those spaces and faces that will never be again, oh how I love it.

i read that the Hopi when making a quilt always leave to one thread undone so as to not displease the gods ,who are perfection.....the best versions are always the bare bones ones

@bookerdana We have a similar idea with our weaving and beadwork. It isn’t necessarily to honor the gods, though.
