Did Disney kill the nostalgia/remake trend in the movie industry? 🤔

In the previous decade, it was all about remakes of classic films and nostalgia baiting. For me, it got old real fast! But now, it seems Disney is the only one doing it now with their shitty remakes. It's like theirs have been so bad, everyone just got put off with the whole remake thing and now no one else is doing it. If so, Disney should get with the program and stop with the whole remake crap. Perhaps the Snow White remake coming out this year will be the final nail in that coffin, lol.
