Gladiator II coming out this fall!!
How exciting...such an awesome film! Ridley Scott directed the sequel now and the trailer looks very good.. Seems we will surely be "Entertained" as Maximus would say. 💙🎬⚔️

I’ll pass....”Gladiator” was (with the exception of Russell Crowe’s performance) a basically godawful movie.
Not well written or acted in general (including the worst performance I’ve ever seen from Joaquin Phoenix)....I found “Gladiator” mostly cringeworthy.

@DragonFruit Oh I found Phoenix great in it...he was sadistic and a real egoic narcissist. I did like Crowe too...I thought the movie was really good.

@Coralmist Phoenix horribly overacted....what our HS drama teacher would refer to as “chewing the scenery”. Way too over the top and not at all believable, IMHO (I haven’t been in a play since law school, and I’d be embarrassed if I saw a clip of myself acting so poorly). He’s been good in some other things, but this was really bad.
