What was the Greatest year for Cinema?

I really remember seeing a few good films in 2008/2009. But it has been a while since I last got excited about seeing an upcoming film in more recent years.

I reckon nothing for at least 20 years.
I think 1939 was a classic,Snow White,Gone with the Wind,Wizard of Oz.
