Disney movies bring me comfort:

I return to the Disney movies I loved as a child now as an adult and watch both the cartoon animations and the live action versions. Most recently I watched Aladdin, Tarzan, Pocahontas, mulan, Hercules, and the lion king. I watched the lion king tonight on Amazon prime. Disney films teach a lot of important life lessons and they are classic. Disney can be enjoyed by children, adolescents, and adults. I watch a lot of animations and cartoons even though I am 34. I also watch movies that are not animated films. The lion king teaches that all of life is interconnected and there is a delicate balance in nature and all of life. It also teaches that our loved ones live in within us when they pass to the spirit world. Even when we are separated by distance and time from our friends, family, and lovers/spouses, they will always be a part of us. This movie reminds me though some of my family is dead, they still live within me and the love is not gone. For my ex boyfriend, he also lives within me in my heart and spirit and this movie reminds me we will always be interconnected on a spiritual level even if he married someone else. Every interaction we had will have a lasting impact on me. Even though I miss him to the point of pain, all I have to do is look back at the memories we made and take comfort in knowing he is living his best life with his wife. Part of me feels he will always love me no matter what but he moved onto someone he could be with in everyday life. I wish I had not broken up with him.but I would have held him back if I didn’t set him free to live a toxicity free life. With all my mental illnesses and low motivation all these years, he would have kept waiting for me to become an independent adult so we could be together in real life. After everything I put him through, I felt I no longer deserved his love. He was my soulmate though and my true love and that’s why it hurts so much. So many things remind me of him. It’s been three years and two months since I broke up with him and almost two years and six months since he no longer contacted me because of moving on and getting engaged to someone else and he didn’t want to make his new fiancee/girlfriend suspicious or upset so he asked me not to contact him too much but what he meant was not at all. He told me to please take care and have a good life. He sent me a clip the December before that he could love me and still let me go from 13 reasons why. He let me completely go. He didn’t even stay my friend after eight months later. I’m sure he thought it was best for both of us. Just because you let someone go, it doesn’t mean the love dies. I still love him and I have seen that before he opened a couple of my messages when I was still trying to save our friendship. I think he will always love me as his first true love, but found a more comforting love with his wife. I still think about him and see him when I close my eyes. Sometimes I wake up in tears. I don’t think I’ll ever get over him, it’s just learning to live with it. Remembering all the loving memories and late night conversations and movie and meal dates.remembering all the love he showed me even though he was halfway across the world in India. I remember him sending me pictures of himself as a child at the office as an adult and pictures of his family. I remember everything. Even Disney movies like the lion king remind me of him and the relationship between Simba and Nala. We were friends first and became lovers and mates after knowing each other for some time. I’ll never forget my Sujeet or my family that passed away. It reminds me to spend time with the family I have now because someday as part of the natural cycle of life, they will die too. We will all eventually die and maybe be reborn again. Sometimes I hope in the next life or in the spirit world I’ll find Sujeet again. I watch Disney films to bring me comfort but I end up relating them to my own life.

That's touching that you had each other even for a little while. I myself find it very hard to date as I feel my anxiety issues would be looked down on by a guy, and he'd move on. It really sucks living with never feeling Enough. I love Disney movies too..my favorite is Beauty and the Beast🌹 (in second place, The Little Mermaid!)

Some of the classic Disney films contain some very frightening segments.
