What was wrong with Aileen Wuomos ("Monster") [I Love A Good Crime Drama]

1. Abuse in the early home and went psychotic
2. Low IQ
3. Ugly
4. Played by an impossibly beautiful actress

Lots of people have low IQ.
Lots of people are from abusive backgrounds.
But few decide to become prostitutes for money.
Fewer still kill those they’re involved with.

The abusive relationship thing is often a hallmark of people desperately wanting to feel loved by anyone.
And ‘anyone’ is often seen as better than ‘no one’.
But she had to have had some say in her choices.

As far as I’m aware she didn’t seek out help from any quarter.
Police; social workers; battered women’s refuge; charitable institutions; church etc.
And the fact she killed more than once indicates an undiagnosed psychopathy since it’s not as though she showed any remorse for any of the murders she committed.

Sad though her story was portrayed
@Picklebobble2 it was too late for HER to ask for help, by the time she could dial a phone and/or travel to the (proverbial) shelter

It was too late

SHE WAS A VICTIM of people doing this and more people turning away

Maybe her tortureres were too ugly or stupid to take seriously, like battered ugly dogs in the shelter about to be killed for their own bad luck, except her people SURVIVED and abused her more till she had to fight back somehow

yup

WHO DECIDES to act like she did, huh?

She was a broken human, mostly by others but still responsible for her own actions.
@FreeSpirit1 I think the ones who abused her should have been prosecuted. I cant imagine how everyone could have pretended they didn't know.

That stuff makes me crazy-angry!

She was someone with severe mental health issues who should have been locked away from the rest of the world. Was it caused by abuse in her youth, abuse as an adult, drugs, low IQ?, probably all of the above ☹️
@spjennifer LOCKED??? She should have had her family intervened with the first time she was a victim of violence in the home (probably as an infant!!!) and then given round the clock protection by putting her in a program of recovery with supervised visits to the parents.

But they don't do that here.
i guess it was the whole. kill a john for his money instead of the agreed sex thing..
i never met her. only saw the media and movie..

are gangbangers killing each other left right and center these things?
once you get away with it once or twice. you do it with impunity i reckon.
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Personally speaking she should have been given a better home at a young age.

Why didn't anyone know or care?

Opinions please?
@Elevatorpitches theres no money in low class.
why do we got billions to send overseas to deal with other countries poor.
yet our veterans and special needs and homeless are left out in the cold..
because the thieving bastards get a cut of the aide they send..
TheLordOfHell · 41-45
She was brutal. But she was also not with it. They never should have put her to death
TheLordOfHell · 41-45
@Elevatorpitches Yah that's possible too. I dunno, I do not support the death penalty, especially when the person to be executed has mental problems. It just doesnt sit right with me. So much could have been done for her early on that wasnt done.

No I didn't see that
@TheLordOfHell Nobody else said that but me. We all get punished for other peoples sins but not everyone notices
more phony virtue signaling maybe?

Was the court system guilty of that too So they ended up incapable of doing their fucking JOB by her and helping her even though it was supposedly too late

what would have been the outcome of this case in Germany or France or Sweden?
TheLordOfHell · 41-45
@Elevatorpitches Yah it could be. Society is weird
