Why cartoons these days seems so boring and annoying?

Gones are the day like old school road runner tom and jerry sort like cartoon that have simple but funny to watch which the sole purpose is to entertain.Looking at recent years animation from all major film cooporate likes to include the political correctness theme in all of its animated films, but from what I can tell, doing so not only didn't promote positive thinking in kids' minds, but also imbued them with prejudice and led them to believe they were the victims of this tainted society.

Those old cartoons were intended more for an adult audience.

@BlueSkyKing classic Looney Tunes director Friz Freleng once said:
" We didn't make those cartoons for kids. And we didn't make them for adults. We made them for ourselves."

Those creative geniuses did whatever they felt was cool, fun and funny. They weren't trying to play to an audience. And they had the leeway to do just that, most of the time.
The result was something special.
