Exactly this. 😂 It's like the audio version of dragging a top of the hand with extremely dry skin across the fleece.

I have similar sentiments. Some of it makes me want to gouge my eyes and ears out to make it stop.

Tbh, for me it really depends on the type of ASMR...

a lot of it seems perverted to some degree, especially when they be rubbing up against the mic, etc 😖

but in terms of sound engineering or sound design,
and if I were to listen to the sound effects just on their own,
it sparks my imagination
