It has come a long way

When I was a kid, the top picture looked just as good as the bottom picture

I remember on 🩶💀🤖, there was an episode that was so well done, it was starting to push the envelope of 'almost too real'.
And that was a few years ago.

Its amazing how good animation has got.

Im particularly loving the new 2.5D animation direction that is bringing 'art' and 'style type' back into it and adding creative uniqueness to animation.

Two that come mind are the Spiderverse movies and the Arcane series.

They blow me away.
Give me goosebumps they are just SO GOOD

Ive seen some AI shorts of animation....but it was more stuff like this

I like that AI can create wonderful pictures.... but i think the human 'realism' of it needs to be stopped ir capped somehow.

Its just that creepy uncanny valley shit.

There needs to be a compulsory visual 'stamp' ir watermark on it or something

@Musicman I watched a documentary a while ago explaining how every Pixar movie made a new innovation.

For example: in Monsters Inc, a computer program was made to render Sully's 2.3 million hairs, rather than having to animate them individually

They were funny how they tested them.
Seeing animamted balls come out hairless or all screwed up.... hilarious😂

But the program overlay on the animation was a VERY clever idea.
