Is die hard really a christmas movie ?

I clearly feel die hard is not a Christmas movie , its a big action movie that takes place around christmas time . The only part of the whole film that does deal with anything about christmas is the party that takes place in the building . I would say that die hard is one of the best action hero movies that came out of the 80s .

@NativePortlander1970 i like what he says come to California to enjoy the scenery or somthing like that . To me bruce willis plays a everyday hero . Just a man that was forced to adapt to a bad situation and survived it all .

@Fa8393 that was a deliberate plot trope. Action stars at that time were all larger than life like Stallone and Swarzenegger. Making John McLean an ordinary man made the film more believable .
