The original cut was more graphic that any review ever written. The final results though, were still over the top.

He had a vision of the federation being some sort of utopian society. With the main characters reflecting on bad vibes of the adventures of each episode. When he gave up creative control of the show, the characters started becoming more real. But then the show was also heavily influenced by input of the fans. With one off characters being given permanent roles.

@Munumbis that was towards the end of his life. When people take sharp turns like that at that stage in life,ci tend to take it with a grain of salt. Billy Graham was far more disruptive later in life
