Did Gene Roddenberry have some dark Aleister Crowley tier stuff going on?

Star Trek jus has a loony energy around it. The whole mythos is a bit off the actors seem disturbing at times. The fans are weird often as well. In hindsight the whole thing seems dark underneath somehow.

Aleister Crowley. ....the person who was used as a model for Hjalmar Poelzig in '34 The Black Cat that was played by Boris Karloff.

Fans of any show are off a bit.. star wars, harry Potter, lord of the rings, game of thrones, and the worst my little pony....

He had a vision of the federation being some sort of utopian society. With the main characters reflecting on bad vibes of the adventures of each episode. When he gave up creative control of the show, the characters started becoming more real. But then the show was also heavily influenced by input of the fans. With one off characters being given permanent roles.
It is what it is 🤷‍♂
I have criticisms of Roddenberry. Some of them run pretty deep. But this doesn't come close to any of them. I don't know where you got all that from

@ImperialAerosolKidFromEP Seems he did dabble in the occult. He expressed non binary and homosexual nonsense as well. I suspected some weird shit was going on there.

@Munumbis towards the end of his life he became LGBT-friendly (like anyone who was anyone) but could you be conflating Roddenberry with l Ron Hubbard? They both had a similar vibe and Hubbard was big on Crowleyism
