Movie review: The Autopsy of Jane Doe

The movie was freaking unnerving at the beginning. The first half had a creepy unease to it. Basically this coroner and his son are autopsying the body of a Jane Doe found at a crime scene. The whole thing really gets into you and you can feel the tension. They find a lot of stuff that doesn’t make sense and it gets creepier the more they discover. Then it loses me when it goes overtly crazy, dead bodies come to life, scary shit starts happening even though it never clearly shows something. It is scary but it loses its subtlety. The ending is kinda obvious but it’s still creepy. 7/10 stars.

I liked it cause it was different and unpredictable. Most times I'm able to guess what's going to happen and I'm like...ok..yeah..why don't you go ahead and go into the basement to investigate. .yawn

@CurrentName when they barricaded the door but then left the room they lost me. You see a dead body moving around you do not leave that room no matter what. You close that door again and shit your pants.

I agree with you. Loved the vibe at first, but the paranormal stuff was too much. The Blair Witch Project proved less is more. Especially when it starts off trying to seem believable.

@TheRealBarbossa exactly. The autopsy part was totally creepy but it traded it for straight up terror.
