I grew up watching Dr Who

One of the best shows for a kid to marvel at.
Dr Who first aired in Australia in 1965. The first Dr I saw was Jon Pertwee, 1970, followed by Tom Baker, 1974, Peter Davison, 1982, Colin Baker, 1984.
I do not remember those that followed, Sylvester McCoy, 1987 or Paul McGann, 1996.
There was a break of 10 years before the show was resurrected with Jon Hurt playing the War Doctor. I never saw this/these episodes.
The next Dr I remember seeing is Davis Tennant in 2005, then Matt Smith, 2010. The final Dr I saw was Peter Capaldi, 2014.
There were 15 Doctors up to the present day.

T - Time
A - And
R - Relative

Tom Baker the 4th doctor was my favorite with K9 the robot dog

Ahh! You missed out on William Hartnell who was the first - and I believe the best!

I was in Britain when the services started, with William Hartnell as the first Doctor. It was groundbreaking for the British TV and those Daleks captured every kids imagination.😷
I recommend checking out those Sylvester McCoy episodes, particularly from his 2nd and 3rd seasons. Some all time classics in there.

Wonderfully edge of the seat stuff during my childhood.
The dodgy sets and low budget effects at least showing the attempt at good drama.

I watched up until John Pertwee's departure and then lost interest.
Dr. Who's are like the James Bond actors. You tend to support the character you grew up watching

@Picklebobble2 I know I was rapt and agog watching Dr Who.
I remember the early years more than the later ones.

I binged watched most of the originals (Hartnell up to McGann) last year and yeah all good stuff, well the ones that still exist as the BBC lost a lot of the earlier episodes🙄

Anyway the first Doctor after they relaunched the series in 2005 was Christopher Eccleston he was the 9th Doctor and followed on from Paul McGann.

Eccleston was only the Doctor for one series though then David Tennant took over as the 10th Doctor in the same year.

The War Doctor story line with John Hurt is from about 2013 so it was made a few years after the relaunch but his version of the Doctor fits between Paul McGann and Christopher Eccleston in the series' timeline.

Matt Smith, Peter Capaldi, David Tennant were pretty good to. But I did not like that woman Jodie Whittaker as the Doctor

@HumanEarth I think the wheels just came off like they were losing viewers steadily from the Capaldi era onwards so starting messing around with the format way too much.

Don't get me wrong I really liked Capaldi as a Doctor but yeah when the viewing figures started to slip they started to radically change everything and it became unrecognisable.

Once Jodie Whittaker came on the scene, I watched two episodes and lost interest

And they wouldn't release the Peter Capaldi episodes on DVD only Blue ray and we still don't have a BR player
