A movie that I liked that i would have liked to been longer was The Last of the Mohicans
@SWNewDragon

I remember the TV show of the same name with Lon Chaney Jr as Chingachgook.

@rinkydinkydoink It's showing on a UK TV nostalgia channel currently. I loved Hawkeye when I was little - had a fur hat when I was about 3 or 4
@ArtieKat

The American one from 1957? Is it on BBC 4? Which days or nights? I might be able to get this. I'm in Canada but I can get access to all the snooker matches on ITV or BBC or Eurosport One (Two, Italian, French, German) for example.

@rinkydinkydoink John Hart was The Lone Ranger for a season when a contract dispute with Clayton Moore arose.

Creighton Chaney, aka Lon Chaney Jr aka Lon Chaney.
After the success of '41 Man Made Monster, Universal studios dropped the Jr from his name and from '41 The Wolf Man, he was billed as Lon Chaney....as he is shown here, with John Hart.

Interesting thing is, Chaney had been in a number of westerns before entering the horror genre in Man Made Monster, and in later years returned to it in films like High Noon, appearances on tv like The Rifleman, Bat Masterson, Rawhide, Tombstone Territory, many others, and as noted, Last of the Mohicans.
@JSul3

I always liked Chaney Jr - he seemed to my young eyes as someone who lived life a little too fully. He looked worn out before his time.

Just found out I have the 1936 Binnie(another unique first name?!) Barnes/Randolph Scott "Last of the Mohicans" version. I'll probably skip watching it... lol

@rinkydinkydoink Young Creighton was sadly thrown into comparisons to his famous Father...something he nor anyone else could have lived up to. Then his Father divorced from his Mother. Sr. told his son that his mom was dead, which was a big lie. What parent does that to their child?
In any case, resentment, and the desire to live up to his father's image drive him to the bottle, impacting his career, even during his hey day.
