Which movie should I watch tonight?

I prefer horror, thrillers and comedys.
Will watch anything starring Geoffrey Rush, Hugh Jackman, Kevin McNally, Maggie Smith, Tim Curry, Kathy Bates, Vincent Price, Robert Englund (and probably have watched all I could find of their work)

I also love Hitchcock and Mel Brooks.

Side note: I also adore John Lithgow, but haven't seen a whole lot of his movies yet.

John Lithgow. Let me tell you about him. As far as I'm concerned, his best performance was as a villain in Dexter.

As far as a good movie for tonight, well, I would recommend literally anything with Jeremy Irons. I could listen to that man read the phone book.

@LordShadowfire I have a google tv, so if it's available through legal means, the tv will tell me where to find it and how much it would cost.

I can't seem to find it in less legal ways even 🥺

💜 norway 💜

Edit: I just checked my tv again, and unholy mother of sperm, I found it! 😍

@LordShadowfire that was an excellent movie. The acting was possibly the best I've ever seen all around )supporting actors included)
The plot was great. We didn't get to fully understand why the villain acted the way they did, but the mystery made it more exciting and I can't wait to see the movie again to pick up what I missed the first time around.

The ending was a bit anticlimatic, but only because we're so used to final grand gestures.
I see the lack of drama in the final scene as "they're finally free from drama, and can enjoy a normal predictable life" which in really is all we can hope for in real life. No grand gestures or anything. Just peace and calm.

The first thing that popped into my head with Geoffrey Rush is The King's Speech. 🤔
TheRealBarbossa · 36-40, T
@thepeculiarpanda I love that movie. I make a point to buy and watch all of his movies that I can find.

Watching The Rule Of Jenny Pen right now, after looking for it for almost 2 years. It has Geoffrey AND John Lithgow, and is a thriller.

Only reason I'm able to respond right now is I needed to pause it to catch my breath from a partial nudity scene involving Geoffrey 🤤
(He played my fictional husband, Barbossa, in Pirates Of The Caribbean, so I'm sure you understand why that gets me going)

Here's a horror/thriller. Did I ever suggest Cube ?

The scene is a spoiler by the way
caPnAhab · 26-30, M
@TheRealBarbossa okay, I'll try once more.

12 Monkeys?
TheRealBarbossa · 36-40, T
@caPnAhab actually haven't eatched that, but have heard of it. Will note it down to my to-watch list. Thanks

Harry and the Hendersons
TheRealBarbossa · 36-40, T
@SpectralMourning I would love to, but can't find it anywhere (I live in Norway, so a lot of sites are area blocked for me)

I'd also love to rewatch 3rd Rock From The sun, but same issue there sadly 🥺

The Matrix is always awesome, or The Silence of the Lambs.
TheRealBarbossa · 36-40, T
@HowtoDestroyAngels I adore Silence of the Lambs, but watching the Matrix once was plenty for me
HowtoDestroyAngels · 46-50, M
@TheRealBarbossa My two favorite movies...
Fairygirl19 · 31-35, F
The conjuring franchise
TheRealBarbossa · 36-40, T
@Fairygirl19 Watched all of them (again) last year
Fairygirl19 · 31-35, F
@TheRealBarbossa how about The black phone
TheRealBarbossa · 36-40, T
@Fairygirl19 will write it down for later.

For now I'm watching a thriller starring Geoffrey Rush AND John Lithgow. I've spent 2 years or so hoping to find it somewhere, and I finally did.
