MTV is shutting down all its music channels.

To be fair, I haven't watched MTV since the 90's...

MTV was before my time,but I have seen old VHS tapes of some of the segments . Apparently,it was mostly blocks of music videos hosted by a " VJ" that worked for the channel.People tuned in not only to see the videos ,but to also watch whoever was their favorite host .I can see the appeal ; Im kind of sorry I missed out on it .

@DavidT8899 Being from Canada, I grew up with MuchMusic.

From the autumn of 1998 to to the summer of 2000, I would watch the MuchMusic countdown.
