Parry in The Fisher king.

An odd character. But then ALL the characters are a bit odd in that movie.

Amanda Plummer; Kathy Najimy; Mercedes Ruehl...

Tough to pick just one. Definitely loved him in Hook and Mrs. Doubtfire. After his death Patch Adams was a favorite for the sole reason of how much that character resonated with what Robin went through. Suffering so much pain but finding escape in what he could do for others.

@SpectralMourning I’ll see if I can find the link for the IG post of him I saw.

@SpectralMourning My favorite is Patch Adams also.
Dead Poet's Society, & Goodwill Hunting.

Robin was a genius, with range. Equally compelling in dramas/thrillers or in comedy.

I was never a fan of his but i was sad to hear that he had struggled with depression.. 🤐

Three of my favorites are Hook, Mrs. Doubtfire anc Jumanji.

I especially liked the television show, Mork and Mindy.

That show was the shazbot!

My favourite was one of his early ones, called "What dreams may come." Its where I realised he was a great actor. If you needed proof, I refer you to "Good Will Hunting".😷
@whowasthatmaskedman I did like World According to Garp and Being Human, both were released years before Dreams.

@NativePortlander1970 I wasnt a fan of Garp.. But I read that as the flawed story, rather than the acting. I didnt like John Lithgow in his part either. And i enjoy him as an actor.😷
@whowasthatmaskedman True, the book delves deeper and extends.longer, but I thought Lithgow was hilarious.
One Hour Photo. Because it seriously showed his range to me in another light. And i really understood his character a lot.

Good Will Hunting hits me every time. Superb performances by all involved, but especially Robin.
I loved Good Will Hunting. I really felt like he put a lot of himself into that character.

Awakenings. Such an amazing movie and one of his more dramatic roles.
I think the depth and breadth of his comedic genius was on full display in Mrs. Doubtfire.

As I got older, his juvenile spasticity only grew more annoying, his suicidal ideations were evident in several movies, including Patch Adams and Father's Day with Billy Crystal, so when he took his own life in 2014 I was not surprised.
