And lets all remember to "be kind to our web footed friends." I always like that he had such a range of singers, young and old. And I enjoyed when Mitch would play the oboe.

Now you’re showing your age. I do remember the show. My dad was a fan, but i thought it was so old-fashioned and very hokey ... But that's just me....

@masterofyou I never denied being old. My opinion of the show was similar to yours, but I did enjoy some of the songs as a kid.
masterofyou · 70-79, M
@exexec I'm sure you can still watch some of this show on streaming media as a lot of these older show are coming back do to streaming TV technology and the internet...

Sing along with Mitch and The Lawrence Welk Show, were my grandmother's favorites.
exexec · 70-79, C
@Leontheprofessional My paternal grandmother only watched one TV show, and that was Lawrence Welk. All conversation had to top during that show.
Leontheprofessional · 70-79, M
@exexec Her other show was The Honeymooners. And the same, we had to sit and watch it with her. lol

I was pretty young at the time, but I did watch a little of it.
However, nobody in the room actually sang along!

Oh yes, I remember it. A bit like THE LAWRENCE WELK SHOW. Ass to TV changing, I dunno -- seems like todays TV is filled with hokey talent shows, too.
