Home Alone 1

A fun question: What do you all think Peter Mcalister did for a living to be able to afford the house? His brother in Paris paid for the plane tickets. I think Peter could’ve been a lawyer or something like a high up worker in a big company. Plus I’m looking for realistic answers

Unfortunately we'll never know. We do know Peter's brother had a house in New York from the second movie. It's also pretty certain that after the events of Home Alone 2, Peter McCalister never went on another family vacation, for fear of losing Kevin again. RIP John Heard.

I think it was given to him by his parents, and he has an average job, as does his wife.
Lawyer for sure!

I thought he was probably an attorney and had some inheritance

@Barefooter25 Frank didn’t seem to be as well off financially because in the 2nd film he all he could afford was the cheap motel in Miami

@SJones48 Kevin did call him a cheapskate but you never know.
Lawyer but inheritance paid for most of that
Macaulay Culkin defintely should've done a part 3 instead of Alex D. Linz
@SJones48 but why tf did he turn it down for?

@SJones48 Macaulay Culkin was already 17 years old when Home Alone 3 was released in 1997. It would have been odd seeing a teenager thwarting the same burglars for the third time. The good thing about the third movie is it introduced us to Scarlett Johansson.

Don't forget that his wife worked too. They definitely didn't seem short on money.
